The Pearl River Roller Derby team started in early 2009 from a group of ladies, gathered at a local coffee shop, who love the feel of eight wheels beneath their feet and the desire to let go of a little stress and frustration built up during the daily activities of their normal lives. With the past experience and devotion of one to her previous Roller Derby bouts, the idea flourished into the talk of the town. Before you know it, the word spread and women from all over the county where signing up. We have women from all walks of life: housewives, photographers, artists, bar managers and army national guardsmen. Still fairly new and growing every day, the Pearl River Roller Derby Girls enjoy every minute of the sport and want to share and invite all to experience the excitement with us. We are not only here to make a name for ourselves in the ALTERNATIVE SPORTS WORLD , we are here to be the BEST!!!
